We will discuss and explore the ISTE Classroom Observation Tool (ICOT) which is an Excel workbook with macros to be used while observing a teacher teach with technology.  We will examine the data the ICOT provides, including quantitative data about what types of technology is used, by whom,  and for how long.  More qualitative data is provided about what ISTE standards are covered and what computational thinking skills are involved. Each participant will open the ICOT on their computer and try things out.  Then we will watch a video of a teacher teaching a lesson and we will practice using the ICOT to record data.  We will practice saving and displaying the data.  Participants will:1. Learn what the ICOT is2. Learn how to use it and practice using it3. consider how to save, share, and use the data in decision-making.
