This presentation will focus on E-learning strategies for language instruction using ASL as an exemplar.  It is designed to provide educators (formal and informal) an introduction to some technologies that can be used in face to face, online teaching and other hybrid learning experiences. The presentation will focus on how Knovio, Flipgrid, and Weebly can be used in concert to present learning materials, increase student engagement and strengthen relationship building in learning environments for language learners. The technologies will support both visual and audio participation which make them ideal for sign language and spoken language instruction.
Attendees will take away strategies for incorporating technology tools for visual presentation and visual user response, an awareness of free or nominal cost technologies for nurturing learner engagement in distant and/or online learning environments, and ideas for building  sites capable of housing learning technology solutions for supporting learning in authentic contexts.
